Remembrance Day
Delivering the Reading.
Personnel from the NZ Cadet Forces supported their local churches by attending their Remembrance Day services throughout New Zealand.
Cadets played a prominent part in the national service conducted in the Wellington Anglican Cathedral. They provided a cadet to deliver one of the readings, all three Corps were represented in lighting the Remembrance Candle and they also acted as flag bearers.
Remembrance Day Sunday services, held on the Sunday closest to November 11th, remembers the sacrifices made during the First World War. It is timed for the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, the signing of the Armistice that bought that war to an end.
